1st Culinary Competition

Now on its 4th year, this year Ugyonan Seafood Festival is slated on December 7 and 8, 2019. Each year, local and international tourists coming over to the festival significantly increased. Known for our “blue crab”, the town’s produced contributes a significant portion of supply to producers and exporters of pasteurized canned crabmeat in the country. It is one of the most-high value export seafood commodity of the country. More importantly, the value in the supply chain boosts local economy benefitting different sectors in terms of employment and livelihood opportunity.

To further expose our local produced to both export and local market, we are sourcing out ideas on research and product development through public-private partnership and other venues such as the yearly seafood festival. This year, the 1st Culinary Competition will be launch during the 4th Ugyonan Seafood Festival using our main produced, steamed blue swimming crab and fresh chilled pasteurized crabmeat.
